Keith Langford, Jayson Granger sanctioned by EuroLeague

Panathinaikos’ Keith Langford and Baskonia’s Jayson Granger were sanctioned with a €2,500 fine and a one-game suspension warning by EuroLeague due to their public comments regarding the first two playoff games of their respective teams.

Per EuroLeague Basketball:

Euroleague Basketball has announced the following disciplinary sanctions pertaining to non-compliance with article 24. 2 c) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code. The sanctions come under disciplinary criteria related to public comments made by club members that were approved at the ECA Shareholders Meeting on July 5, 2018.

Each of the sanctions consists of a €2,500 fine and the warning of a one-game suspension in the event of a subsequent infraction of the same kind.

  • Keith Langford of Panathinaikos OPAP Athens has been sanctioned for comments made in between the Real Madrid-Panathinaikos games played on April 17 and April 19, 2019, pertaining to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs.
  • Jayson Granger of KIROLBET Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz has been sanctioned for comments made in between the CSKA Moscow-Baskonia games played on April 16 and April 18, 2019, pertaining to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs.
