Zenit St. Petersburg and Gal Mekel have parted ways, the club announced Sunday. Mekel, 31, was released from the club after one season.
The multi-experienced guard posted 7.7 points, 6.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds in seven 7DAYS EuroCup contests last season.
Prior to joining Zenit, Mekel has played for Gran Canaria, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Crvena Zvezda and Nizhny Novgorod among other teams.
