They had to wait until the last round, but Real Madrid got the easy 97-65 win over Strasbourg and qualified to the Euroleague Top16 as the third team in the final standings of Group A.

The hosts set the tone with a 29-15 first quarter and the French couldn’t get back into the game after that. Jeff Taylor scored 16 points for the winners, five more players scored in double digits and everything clicked on both ends of the floor for the eventual winners.

Rodrigue Beaubois scored 17 points for Strasboourg, which traveled to Madrid with 10 players. The quality gap between the two teams and also the difference of experience in the top level was evident with Real ending the game with a total of 36 assists, which is a Euroleague all time record.
