After winning its first Euroleague title since 2008, it is only natural for CSKA Moscow to want to keep coach Dimitris Itoudis at the helm of the team. And, it seems that the two sides are already in talks to continue their cooperation.

When asked if he was offered a contract extension during an interview for “Kos Magazin“, the Greek coach replied that “Yes it’s true. It was an expression of their faith in me and my work. These days we will sit down to formalize a new contract. I want to stay and continue working”.

And what is the new ambition that Dimitris Itoudis sets for himself and CSKA Moscow? “Before my eyes lays a new goal”, he said. “To reach and surpass Real Madrid! We have seven Euroleague trophies now and Real Madrid has nine. They are a great club, but in life you should always have goals. And what we want to do in the upcoming seasons is to bring many successes and titles to the club, which is one of the biggest in Europe”.
