Real Madrid grabbed a tough win at home against Galatasaray who fought until the very last minute, 90-81. The Turkish team now stands at 0-5, while Real is at 4-1.

Sergio Llull scored 23 points, Rudy Fernandez added 13 and Luka Doncic 11. Anthony Randolph might have been low at scoring, though his defensive contribution was important (7 points, 10 rebounds).

Galatasaray was impressive from the three point line in the first half, shooting with 60% accuracy. The Whites followed for most of the second quarter, as the Turkish team was up 45 – 47 at halftime.

Llull put Real back on the lead with with a few personal baskets late in the third period and the hosts were up 66 – 64 after 30 minutes. It is notable how Galatasaray, the team with the worse defense in the league so far, kept Real, the second best offensive team, relatively low at scoring until then.

In the final period of the game, Real made its complete comeback, with Rudy Fernandez drilling 2 back to back three pointers, putting his team at a vantage point. Soon enough, Galatasaray made a 5 – 0 ran, yet the story was repeated from Jaycee Carroll. However, the visitors weren’t willing to give up, and Real only kept a 2-point distance at 38′, 81-79.

For Galatasaray, Micov stopped at 17 points, Tuys scored 14 and Preldzic had 10.
