The injury problems of Barcelona are non-stop to an incredible degree. The latest issue arose with Alex Renfroe who will be out of action for up to two months as the club announced.

Renfroe suffered aν injury on his left leg gastrocnemius muscle during yesterday’s (25/1) EuroLeague game between his team and Panathinaikos in Athens. His estimated time of recovery will keep him sidelined from six to eight weeks which means that he will miss the Spanish Copa Del Rey tournament and most part of the remainder of the EuroLeague regular season.

The American guard has so far played 17 games with Barcelona in EuroLeague and the Spanish League. He arrived in the team to cover the absence of Pau Ribas who is out for the season.

Renfroe is added in the…. rather long list of players who missed a considerable amount of games since the beginning of the season for the Blaugrana. Victor Claver, Justin Doellman, Juan Carlos Navarro and Pau Ribas were injured earlier in 2015/2016. Petteri Koponen was also out after getting injured in a car crash and there’s also Brad Oleson who sustained an ankle sprain in the match of Barcelona vs Anadolu Efes.
