AEK signs Marcus Slaughter to contract extension

AEK Athens announced that center Marcus Slaughter extended his contract with the team through 2020-2021. The American former EuroLeague champion had joined AEK in 2019.

Slaughter averaged 4.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 21.1 minutes over 16 games of the Basketball Champions League, along with 4.6 points and 4.7 rebounds in 17.1 minutes of 17 Greek League matches.

AEK and Slaughter will be participating in the upcoming Final Eight of the Basketball Champions League that will complete the 2019-2020 season.

Throughout his career, Slaughter played for such teams as Real Madrid, Hapoel Jerusalem, Virtus Bologna and Brose Bamberg. In 2015, he won the EuroLeague with Real Madrid.
