Basketball Champions League – Week 6 Preview

The final stretch of the 2020-21 Basketball Champions League Regular Season begins this week with all participating sides in the hunt for a spot in the next group stage. Coming off a break featuring the latest batch of EuroBasket Qualifiers, eight games will be held Tuesday and Wednesday. The sixth week of action includes seven Gameday 6 affairs and one rescheduled Gameday 1 contest.

Defending champion Hereda San Pablo Burgos will host Darussafaka Tekfen and Filou Oostende will take on Happy Casa Brindisi in a wide-open Group H. All four teams are tied at 1-1.

A four-way tie will be broken in Group E as well. SIG Strasbourg off a six-game Champions League losing streak at home faces Peristeri. A Baltic encounter between Rytas Vilnius and VEF Riga at the Lithuanian capital makes out the other match.

The same situation with all four teams sitting at 1-1 occurs in Group G. However, the winner of the Turk Telekom versus Limoges CSP matchup will earn an advantage moving forward.

In Group F, Brose Bamberg up 2-0 will go through a Pinar Karsiyaka visit. The Turkish outlet, 1-0, has been on the winning side of its last five BCL Regular Season matches.

The Group F schedule stretches into the Unipol Arena as Fortitudo Bologna and RETAbet Bilbao will be gunning for their first win.

The delayed Gameday 1 tilt furthers Group D with Falco Szombathely and Nizhny Novgorod meeting at the Savaria Arena.
