Hapoel UNET Credit Holon has registered Michael Jenkins for the Basketball Champions League in front of the playoffs but, according to Walla Sports’ Arale Weisberg, the sides reached a rather unique agreement.

The club registered the player for the competition but he won’t be traveling to Israel nor joining the team at all unless a need for that arises due to some unforeseen circumstances such as injuries or coronavirus positives in the roster.

On the other hand, the player won’t be receiving a salary and he is free to go and sign with another team if he strikes a deal.

Jenkins, 34, last played with Nizhny Novgorod in the 2019-20 season averaging 11.5 points, 2.6 assists and 1.8 boards over 12 games split between the VTB League and the Basketball Champions League.

Holon qualified for the BCL playoffs and ended up in Group I with Tofas Bursa, Pinar Karsiayaka, and Happy Casa Brindisi.
