Galatasaray bids for Blackmon, in advanced talks with Yildizli, Ogut

Galatasaray takes on the task of building the squad for the 2021-22 season. The team based in Istanbul is in advanced talks with Can Ugur Ogut and Burak Can Yildizli, and is also waiting for an answer after the offer made to James Blackmon Jr., per Eurohoops sources.

Blackmon, 26, made his way to Turkey last October following a couple of seasons in Italy. He logged 17.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game across all competitions for a solid season attached to Besiktas.

Yildizli, 27, also a former member of Besiktas, spent the previous season at Bahcesehir Koleji. He averaged 6.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per match in Turkey’s BSL.

Ogut, 29, is coming off a lengthy run at Gaziantep. He posted 9.2 points, 6.5 assists, and 2.1 rebounds per match last season.

Apart from potential additions to the squad ahead of the second Basketball Champions League campaign in a row and domestic competitions, former player Kerem Tunceri will be CEO and former Bandirma GM Turgay Zeytingoz will be appointed GM.

Also, NEF will be the main sponsor.
