Hereda San Pablo Burgos is set to welcome Aleksej Nikolic to its growing squad, the player’s agent announced on Saturday.

Nikolic, 26, is currently in Japan with the Slovenian national team. Following his participation in the Olympic Games alongside NBA superstar Luka Doncic, he will turn his focus to the Basketball Champions League and Spain’s ACB.

His home for the previous season was BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque. He averaged 11.1 points, 4.6 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 0.8 steals per match in France’s Jeep Elite Pro A. He has also played in Italy, Serbia, and Germany, including a couple of lengthy stays at Brose Bamberg and Partizan, after launching his career in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The back-to-back BCL champions have already added Marc Garcia, Suleiman Braimoh, Dani Diez, and Tyrus McGee in preparation for the next edition of the Champions League. They will tip off the 2021-22 season in Regular Season Group H facing off with Besiktas Icrypex, Rytas, and EWE Baskets Oldenburg.
