Norris Cole moves to Unicaja and the BCL

Unicaja Malaga has announced the addition of Norris Cole to their roster, pending the medical exams.

Per the club: Unicaja has reached an agreement with Norris Cole to join the Malaga team for next season. The 32 years old guard and (1.88 m.) he will join the Malaga team to complete the roster of coach Fotis Katsikaris. Hailing from French ASVEL, he has long NBA and European experience. Among the titles won throughout his career, he also celebrated two NBA championships with Miami Heat.

Last season he played in the ranks of ASVEL, a team with which he was proclaimed champion of the French LNB and played in the Euroleague. His numbers were 13.7 points, 3.6 assists, a PIR of 10.3 in European competition, and 10.4 points, 2.1 assists, and a PIR of 8.8 in the French league.

At 32, Cole is a player with a long career in both the NBA and European basketball. In the North American professional league, he spent six years, three and a half seasons in the ranks of the Miami Heat, a year and a half in the New Orleans Pelicans, and one more year in the ranks of Oklahoma City.

After the NBA stage, he leaped to Europe, where he has played in Maccabi Tel Aviv (Israel), Scandone Avellino (Italy), Buducnost (Montenegro), AS Monaco (France), and ASVEL Villeurbanne. In his record in basketball from the old continent, he has the title of the leagues of Israel (2017-18) and France (2020-21), and the Montenegrin Cup, being named MVP of this competition.

It should also be noted that Cole has experience in the Basketball Champions League, in which he played with the Italian Scandone Avellino. He has also competed in the Euroleague and the Eurocup.

The player, once the bureaucratic procedures have been resolved, will arrive in Malaga next week.
