Galatasaray continues to roll in the BCL

After getting the 78-92 away win against Filou Oostende in Round 1, Galatasaray managed to get another important victory by beating Legia Warszawa 86-71 in a buzzing Sinan Erdem Arena.

Dee Bost, who scored 23 points on Gameday 1 against Filou Oostende, was the MVP of the game, getting a double-double of 15 points and 11 assists. The veteran guard has now scored more than 10 points in each of his last 12 games in the BCL regular season.

Former Maccabi Tel Aviv forward Angelo Caloiaro added 22 points, while Sadik Emir Kabaca ended with 10 points and 8 rebounds. The newcomer Dylan Ennis scored 11 points as well.

The Janis Berzins-Grzegorz Kulka-Ray McCallum trio combined for 53 points but they weren’t enough. Berzins and Kulka added 8 rebounds a piece.

Galatasaray has won seven of its last eight games in the BCL regular season. Moreover, they have scored more than 80 points in each of their seven home games during the regular season in the competition.

With this loss, Legia Warszawa became the third Polish team in Basketball Champions League history to lose its first two games in the competition after Start Lublin in 2020-21 and Ostrow Wielkopolski in 2021-22.

Galatasaray is now up 2-0 in Group C, while the opponents are 0-2 after losing 81-84 in their BCL debut against Hapoel Holon in Round 1.
