Falco Szombathely says goodbye to the 2022-23 Basketball Champions League. Losing 77-64 at home against Tofas Bursa, in fact, eliminates the Hungarian team from the competition.

The hero of Dimitris Priftis’ team was the Turkish playmaker, who had a double-double of 13 points and 13 assists. Deon Thompson added 15 points and 10 points off the bench.

Still, the highest scorer of Tofas Bursa was Rob Gray, one of the three players to have scored more than 25 points in multiple BCL games this season. The former AS Monaco had 18 points.

Ugurlu and Thompson weren’t the only ones performing a double-double, as Matt Tiby had 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Zoltan Perl (14 p, 4 r, 4 a) had once again an important performance off the bench for his team. Raymond Cowels and Akos Keller added respectively 10 and 11 points, but it wasn’t enough.

In a very low-scoring encounter, Tofas Bursa was better than the opponents in both points from turnovers (6 vs 20) and from the bench (24 vs 34). Falco was better at grabbing offensive (18 vs 9) rebounds but shot worse from deep (18.18% vs 38.89%).

With this victory, Tofas Bursa reaches the 2-3 record in Group A. As already said, Falco Szombathely is now out of the 2022-23 BCL.
