David Jelinek pushed UCAM Murcia to the Round of 16

After winning in thrilling fashion in Game 1, UCAM Murcia had another crazy victory to conquer the series against Pinar Karsiyaka, winning 96-89 on the road in Game 2.

David Jelinek was the hero for the Spanish team, putting in two daggers in the late minutes of the fourth quarter. He ended with 13 points and 3/3 from beyond the arc.

Travis Trice was the best for Sito Alonso’s team, ending the game with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, and 9/10 at the line.

Ilimane Diop was perfect inside the area (3/3) and at the line (6/6), scoring 12 points and 6 rebounds off the bench. Thaddus McFadden, who has now tied Vojtech Hruban at the 3rd place in the all-time 3P scoring list with 134 three-pointers, had 10 points and 5 assists.

Errick McCollum dragged his team for a lot of minutes, scoring 21 points with 6 assists off the bench. Angel Delgado had a good performance under the basket with 16 points and 8 rebounds.

Kenan Sipahi produced a solid all-around performance with 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. After his historic 41 points performance in Game 1, Braian Angola added 7.

Pinar Karsiyaka was leading until 2:26 left in the fourth quarter, but the guests fired up late, winning the fourth quarter 33-17.

UCAM Murcia dominated with rebounds (40 vs 31), points from the bench (52 vs 34), and free-throws (86.21% vs 66.67%)

 

UCAM Murcia will meet Surne Bilbao, Lenovo Tenerife, and the winner of the series between SL Benfica and Darussafaka in Group L of the Round of 16.
