In a Game 3 full of emotions,  Bahcesehir managed to get the 87-81 victory in overtime against Filou Oostende to advance to the BCL Round of 16.

As happened for the whole BCL Regular Season and in the first two games of the Play-Ins series, Jerry Boutsiele was dominant under the basket with 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists.

High-experienced 35-year-old Jamar Smith helped Bahcesehir from the beginning to the end of this decisive Game 3, ending with 18 points and 4/6 from beyond the arc.

Breein Tyree, who tied things up at the end of the third quarter with a three-pointer over Jerry Boutsiele, had 22 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. Vrenz Bleijenbergh added 20 points.

Keye van der Vuurst de Vries, who became the 18th player with 200+ dimes in BCL history, produced Oostende’s comeback in the second quarter with three straight long-range daggers. He ended with 9 points and 3 assists.

After starting the game on a high note (22-12), Bahcesehir couldn’t maintain the lead until the last ten minutes of the encounter, as Filou Oostende won the second and third quarters.

However, a late shot by Yigit Arslan, who ended with 16 points, tied the game at 75-75 with 00:31 left, forcing OT. There, the home side got the 12-6 run to win it all.

The guests were better than the hosts shooting from far (47.06% vs 35.48%), but Bahcesehir dominated at rebounds (48 vs 34).

With this victory, the Turkish team joined Telekom Baskets Bonn and BAXI Manresa in Group J of the Round of 16, waiting for the winner of the best-of-three series between Rytas Vilnius and PAOK.
