UCAM Murcia picked up Marko Todorovic heading down the stretch of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season.

Todorovic, 31, signed a contract for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. He is set to immediately join the team coached by Sito Alonso and debut in the BCL. It is unclear whether he will be available for the Gameday 5 contest against Bertram Derthona Tortona in Palacio De Deportes later today, Wednesday (20:30 CET).

The arrival of the veteran of 157 appearances in Spain’s Liga Endesa was a reaction to Swedish center Simon Birgander being sidelined for approximately four months. Birgander will undergo surgery after a severe sprain in his right ankle.

Fellow Swedish player Ludvig Hakanson was also injured in the overtime loss to Valencia in Round 13 of the Liga Endesa Regular Season on Sunday. Dealing with an injury in his right leg, he is questionable to play in the key game versus the Italian club.

The Universitarios sit second in Group H of the Regular Season with a 3-1 record trailing Derthona’s 4-0.

Galatasaray sidelines Jarell Martin

In a huge injury blow for Galatasaray Ekmas, Jarell Martin suffered a patellar tendon rupture in his right knee during the recent game against Pinar Karsiyaka in Round 11 of the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi. The 29-year-old American forward was forced to the sidelines after tallying 10.3 points per game over his first four appearances in the Champions League.

The Lions are tied with Portugal champion Benfica at 1-3, sitting third in Group G, two games behind leading PAOK mateco and Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem with two games left in the double-legged round-robin schedule of the Regular Season.
