Clifford Omoruyi is reportedly close to joining Galatasaray MCT Technic.
Omoruyi, 24, signed with Maccabi Tel Aviv this past September on a two-year deal, but his minutes in the EuroLeague were limited and he found himself outside the team’s main rotation during the early stages of the season.
The center has played only 3 EuroLeague games this season, averaging 5 minutes per game with 0.7 points and 1.7 rebounds.
After playing five years in the NCAA averaging 24.4 minutes, 9.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks in 158 games, Omoruyi is having his first year of professional basketball.
Joining Galatasaray will reinforce the Turkish team’s frontcourt, boosting a team that currently has a 4-1 balance in Group E.
