Galatasaray MCT Technic has appointed a familiar name to the position of sporting director.
Vladimir Micov, one of the stars of the team that won the EuroCup in 2016, got the role as the team prepares for the future.
Micov, whose official appointment is scheduled for January 12, 2026, had a long playing career with prominent European basketball clubs such as Baskonia, Budućnost, Armani Milano, Crvena Zvezda, and CSKA Moscow, and of course he was also a member of the Serbian national team.
Having gained experience in the EuroLeague, EuroCup, and national leagues, the former basketball player is a respected figure in European basketball.
After ending his playing career in 2022, he served as the sporting director of KK Metalac Valjevo from the beginning of the 2024-25 season.
