Galatasaray achieved a significant victory in the fourth round of Group I in the Round of 16 of the BCL, defeating Le Mans 94-81 on the road.
Bugrahan Tuncer delivered an outstanding performance, finishing with 22 points. Errick McCollum followed with 19, while James Palmer Jr. added 15. For the hosts, David DiLeo was the standout with 18 points, Johnny Berhanemeskel scored 15, and Trevor Hudgins ended with 10.
Le Mans had a chance to secure their fourth victory in front of their home fans and practically ensure their advancement to the next round. However, things have now become complicated, and the decision will come in the final two rounds.
After three excellent quarters, the French entered the last ten minutes with a one-point lead (69-68). Yet, the visitors unleashed a furious fourth quarter, scoring from all over the court, ultimately achieving a rather convincing victory on this away game.
Galatasaray is now tied with Le Mans at the top of the table with a 3-1 record, but the Turks lead due to better point difference. The next round brings Galatasaray a visit to Hapoel Holon, who are now officially eliminated, while Le Mans will play Rytas in Lithuania.
