Promitheas Patras secured a place in the quarterfinals of the Basketball Champions League Qualification Round Tournament 2 after overcoming BC Vienna 92-82 in Samokov.
New Williams led the winners with 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting, including five three-pointers. Kendal Coleman added 17 points and seven rebounds, Joirdon Nicholas posted 13 points and eight boards, while Shannon Evans finished with 11 points and 12 assists.
Grant Sherfield paced Vienna with 23 points. Aron Stazic added 15 points and eight rebounds, while Barra Njie recorded 13 points and ten assists.
Biotekno Korfez Basket joined Promitheas in the quarterfinals after defeating Kolossos H Hotels 91-79. Kolossos entered the fourth quarter with a 70-66 lead, but the Turkish side completely turned the game around with a 16-0 run and won the final period 25-9.
Alex Reese led Biotekno with 18 points, while Filip Barna scored 16. Oscar Cluff recorded 15 points and 13 rebounds, Jonathan Davis also had 15 points, and Boo Buie contributed 11 points and eight assists.
Ezra Manjon and Georgios Kamperidis scored 15 points apiece for Kolossos, with Jackson Kreuser adding 13.
Promitheas and Biotekno Korfez Basket will face each other in the quarterfinals on September 17, with the winner moving within two victories of a place in Group F of the BCL Regular Season.
