It’s three in a row for Elan Chalon as they took down Capo d’Orlando 79-69 on the road. The French team registred its fifth victory in the Basketball Champions League as they stand on a 5-4 record after Day 9.

The hosts couldn’t crack Chalon’s defense in the first quarter scoring only 10 points in 10 minutes. Elan built a double-digit lead after the first period (20-10) which boost their confidence.

It didn’t take much for Capo d’Orlando to get back on the track as they cut the lead in the second quarter. However, Chalon had a three-point advantage after the first half 38-35.

The Key: The visitors dominated the paint outscoring their opponents by 22 points (42-20) in that area.

In the second half, the Italians lost their pace and couldn’t keep up with the visitors. They were outscored 41-34 in that period.

Capo d’Orlando suffered their seventh loss in the Basketball Champions League as they have a 2-7 record.

The Star: Jeremy Nzeulie was the real force tonight recording a game-high with 23 points. James Farr was his partner adding 14 points, 7 boards and 4 successful passes.

Mirza Alibegovic tried to save the hosts with 16 points, but it wasn’t enough for the Italians tonight.
