Besiktas Sompo Japan jumped to an 8-3 record after prevailing over CEZ Nymburk 91-80 at home ending their streak. The visitors were one of the hottest teams in the competition with five wins in a row.

The Key: The hosts had a perfect second quarter that pushed them to the win. They were dominating both sides of the floor winning that period 26-8.

Nymburk had a four-point lead (29-25) after the first period, but Besiktas turned things around as the score by halftime was 51-37 in their favor.

Nymburk tried to come back and won the third period 23-16. However, Besiktas didn’t get scared and they were able to close the game in style.

The Star: Earl Clark had a great game, being short from recording a double-double by one rebound. He had 15 points and 9 rebounds, followed by 18 points scored by D.J Strawberry.

Kendrick Ray’s 13 points for Nymburk didn’t change much tonight. Despite the loss, Nymburk still stands on a strong 7-4 record in the Basketball Champions League.
