Chinemelu Elonu was successfully operated on Friday, per AEK’s announcement, though he will need to stay out of action from three to five weeks, meaning that he will miss the remainder of the Basketball Champions League regular season.
Elonu’s absence could cause turmoil, as AEK needs two wins in the following two games of the competition in order to make it to the next round.
