Phil Goss’ fire burned Neptunas

PAOK had no problems beating Neptunas Klaipeda at home 91-70 in the Basketball Champions League. This was a very important win for the Greek side since they stayed alive and well in the race for the Play-Offs. They are now standing on a 6-7 record before the final week of the regular season.

The Star: Phillip Goss Alexander JR was calling the shots for the PAOK. He was absolutely fiery tonight scoring no less than 29 points. He was 10/13 from the field and nailed 5 triples for his team.

The Key: The winner was decided in the second quarter. The hosts were tremendous in that part of the game. Their offense was working like a clock and was red-hot since they produced 39 (!) points in 10 minutes.

After trailing 58-32 in the first half, the Lithuanian team couldn’t find the energy to fight for a potential comeback.

Neptunas is now standing on a 7-6 record and if PAOK and Chalon win their remaining games they will be out of the playoffs.
