Sigidas Avellino fall short in Germany in the game against Telekom Baskets Bonn that could clinch a Play-Off spot for them. The Italian team needed CEZ Nymburk to beat Stelmet Zielona Gora in order to qualify for the next round.

Luckily for Avellino Nymburk did the job for them as they had no problems beating Zielona Gora, but Italians couldn’t beat Bonn.

The Key: With 12 seconds left in the game Bonn was up by one point (75-74) and they had possession. Yorman Polas Bartolo was sent to the foul line and he sealed the deal for Bonn with nailing both free throws.

Teams were tied after the 30 minutes of action at 57 while exchanging the lead several times. Ultimately, Bonn won the game ending their Basketball Champions League season in style.

The Stars: Tomislav Zubcic finished the game with 17 points for the winning side. Martin Breunig also had 17 points and he added 10 rebounds as well.

Thomas Scrubb’s 16 points for Avellino didn’t save them.
