AS Monaco defeated MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg in the first Basketball Champions League semifinal and advanced to the final that will be played on Sunday.

Eurohoops caught up with D.J. Cooper of Monaco and he commented on the game against Ludwigsburg: “We just loosened up. We played tight in the first half. We won the second half.”

In addition, he also made a comment on the possible opponent Monaco will face on Sunday’s final: “It doesn’t matter who we play. It’s going to be a hard game either way. It’s for a championship so I’ll be motivated. It would be nice to play against AEK.”

He also stated that Monaco can make history if they win this year’s competition: “It would mean a lot. You can put your name in history as a team and individually. It would mean a lot to win the championship.”
