Oguz Savas agrees to deal with Besiktas

Oguz Savas is set to sign a one-year contract with an option for an additional season with Besiktas Sompo Sigorta, according to Eurohoops sources. BasketFaul first reported on the deal between the Turkish club and 32-year-old center.

Savas played for Darussafaka Tekfen the past four seasons. He made his professional debut with Ulker back in 2004 and joined Fenerbahce after the clubs merged. Between all his teams participated in 202 EuroLeague matches.

On his previous campaign, he took part in 27 EuroLeague tilts averaging 5.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per appearance. The experienced big man also notched 5.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists per Super Ligi contest.

This season will bring him to the Basketball Champions League with Besiktas. Savas’ new side is set for Group D regular season action alongside Casademont Zaragoza, Falco, Happy Casa Brindisi, JDA Dijon, Neptunas, PAOK and Telekom Baskets Bonn.
