Panathinaikos survived the scare

Panathinaikos opened the game with a 22 points lead over Crvena Zvezda but in the end the Greens needed a come back in order to get the 74-69 win over the Serbs and defend their home court.

The Greeks led 28-6 in the start of the second quarter, but with four minutes left the guests had a 65-60 lead. Panathinaikos finished the game with a 14-5 run. That been said, Zvezda had the chance to tie the game but with six seconds left Marcus Williams missed a big three pointer. A.J.Slaughter with 16 points was more than crucial for the winners, while Dimitris Diamantidis had 11 points on 3/11 shots, but also 10 assists, four rebounds and four steals. Boban Marjanovic and Charles Jenkins with 17 points each were the top scorer of the guests.
