For the 17th time in the club’s history, Virtus Bologna won the Italian Championship, continuing a historic legacy by putting the icing on the cake in the 2024-25 season.

Despite all the difficulties lived in the EuroLeague and in the Italian Cup, after finishing 1st in the LBA Regular Season, the black-and-white team won the Scudetto with a 3-0 sweep over Germani Brescia.

Game 3 was a matter of dominance by Virtus Bologna, which won 96-74 on the road, being crowned Italian Champions for the first time in four years.

Tornike Shengelia had a dominant night with 31 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists to push Dusko Ivanovic’s team to the Scudetto. Brandon Taylor added 19 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds.

Before the start of the game, the whole Virtus Bologna squad wore the jersey with Achille Polonara’s name and numbers, honoring their teammate who is fighting against leukemia.

For Brescia, coached by the rookie Giuseppe Poeta, Jason Burnell finished with the highest losing effort of 24 points.
