After grabbing the 1st position in the LBA Regular Season, Virtus Bologna did not only earn home-court advantage in the Italian Playoffs, but also managed to look at everybody else on top.

After winning Game 1 against Umana Reyer Venezia, they doubled it in Bologna. In a tight game, especially after Venezia’s comeback attempt in the third quarter, Virtus managed to come out victorious in front of their black-and-white fans, getting the 77-75 win.

Will Clybun (19 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals) and Matt Morgan (14 points over 3/5 from beyond the arc) were the main protagonists for Dusko Ivanovic’s team.

Mfiondu Kabengele had a dominant night and finished with a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough. Kyle Wiltjer added 18 points in the loss.

In the rest of the LBA Playoffs, Trapani Shark are the other unbeaten team at 2-0, having won both games against UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia.

After losing Game 1, both Pallacanestro Trieste and Dolomiti Energia Trentino tied with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan and Germani Brescia.
