Carsen Edwards puts Virtus back on top of the Italian league. The talented American point guard led the team to victory against Cantù at home with 34 points.
Derrick Alston added 17 in the win after a great first half. In Cantù, Giordano Bortolani scored 17 points in the loss.
The Euroleague team started the first quarter strong. With Edwards breaking down the defense with his talent, Virtus went into halftime with a comfortable lead (50-39).
Although Cantù rallied in the final quarter, the situation was under control in Bologna. Alston and Karim Jallow stepped up to seal the victory (89-79) and reclaim the lead (19-5).
