Olimpia Milano makes it three in a row in the Italian competition. After not making the Play-In in the Euroleague, Poeta’s team easily beat Venezia on the road (85-90) to come closer to the top.
Leandro Bolmaro (19 p.) and Giampolo Ricci (15 p.) were the top scorers for Milano. RJ Cole had a great game on the local side with 29 points.
Olimpia Milano started the game with a dominant first half in Venice. Poeta’s team destroyed Reyer near the rim before the rim (39-52), with Bolmaro already in double digits.
The local team fought back with a great 23-12 in the third quarter (62-66), but Milano reacted to secure the victory in the final minutes. Despite not having a great game from beyond the arc (9/24), the Euroleague team secured an easy away victory (85-90).
Virtus Bologna got the easy win at home against Trieste (91-85). Carsen Edwards (19 points) led the way after a strong first quarter. Virtus stays on top of Lega (21-5) with three wins in a row.
Alen Smailagic and Aliou Diarra added 15 points in the victory.
