Mozzart Sport reported a few days ago that Wendell Moore Jr. was on the verge of signing with Partizan, but that won’t happen.

According to the same source, Moore Jr. will not be coming to Belgrade; instead, he has opted for an ambitious project in Rome, backed by Luka Doncic among others.

Rome offered Wendell Moore much more flexible terms, allowing the guard an easier return to the NBA. It seems that this ultimately led Moore to head to Italy instead of Partizan.

For the former Duke University student, this will be his first European club, and the shooting guard will try to help the project.

Moore Jr. was selected as the 26th pick in the 2022 NBA draft by the Dallas Mavericks, but they immediately released him to the Minnesota Timberwolves. He also played for the Detroit PistonsCharlotte Hornets, and then again the Pistons, where he played last year.

He has played a total of 96 NBA games, averaging 2.3 points per game, 1.4 rebounds, and just under one assist.
