James Nunnally leads Milano past Avellino

James Nunnally scored 28 points in Game 4 to keep Olimpia Milano alive and nailed 25 more in Game 5 to give his squad a 92-76 home win over Sidigas Avellino with which they advance to the Italian League semifinals.

Nunnally had 11 points at halftime (47-39) and then banked 14 in the third quarter on his way to game-high 25 points. He also dished seven assists and grabbed two rebounds.

Nemanja Nedovic helped with 13 in addition to Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Kaleb Tarczewski’s 12 points each. For Avellino, Demonte Harper and Demetris Nichols scored 15 points each. Ike Udanoh helped them with 14 points and nine boards.

In the semifinals, Milano will clash with Dinamo Sassari which swept the series against Happy Casa Brindisi.
