The Brooklyn Nets have started the season with a 2-1 record and will be facing Memphis Grizzlies (0-2) later on Monday, though Kevin Durant will sit out the game, as The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports.

Durant will miss the game for rest purposes, after beginning the season strong with the Nets, with an average of 26.7 points, 4.0 rebounds in his first 3 games with the club this season.

The former MVP will most likely return to the lineup for the Nets’ Wednesday game against the Atlanta Hawks.
