In a clash of teams occupying the top of the Eastern Conference, the Milwaukee Bucks logged a 124-117 home win against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Despite a somewhat shy first half in which the Bucks banked in 77 points, Giannis Antetokounmpo eventually finished as the game’s top scorer with 27 points while also grabbing 16 rebounds and delivering six assists.

He got help from Kris Middleton and Bobby Portis who had 24 and 23 respectively. On the opposing side, Joel Embiid scored 24 and Shake Milton 20 points.

Meanwhile, Luka Doncic logged 30-9-8 as he led the Dallas Mavericks to a 115-110 win over the reigning champions LA Lakers who still miss LeBron James but saw Anthony Davis return, although he was far from his top form after being sidelined for two months.

Kristaps Porzingis followed Luka with 19 points but the Latvian big suffered an ankle sprain which forced him to exit the game in pain and remains to be seen how severe the injury is. Dennis Schroder had 25 points and 13 assists for the losing squad.

There was a solid amount of European action last night and quite a few double-doubles as well. Nikola Vucevic had 18 points and 16 rebounds in Chicago’s win over Charlotte. Lauri Markkanen helped with 11 and Tomas Satoransky with ten points.

Jakob Poeltl logged 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Spurs while Killian Hayes scored 12 for Detroit. Willy Hernangomez also put on a double-double performance with 18 points and 12 boards in the Pelicans’ convincing win against the Orlando Magic.
