Khris Middleton dropped a game-high 27 points and drained the winning jumper with less than a second to play to give the Milwaukee Bucks a 109 – 107 win in the overtime of the 2021 NBA playoffs opener.

On the other end, Jrue Holiday (20 points, 11 rebounds) disrupted Jimmy Butler’s game-winning attempt and the Bucks took the victory for the 1-0 lead in the series.

Butler was the one to force the overtime at the buzzer of regulation with a drive and a layup to the basket. He finished 17 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists but had a horrid 4-22 shooting night while Goran Dragic dropped a team-high 25 points for the Heat.

Giannis Antetokounmpo produced 27 points, 18 rebounds and five assists. He had some free-throw struggles in the game finishing with 6-2 while shooting 2-5 in the 66 seconds but delivered a key defense on Butler with the score 98 – 97.

Duncan Robinson added 24 points for the Heat.
