Joel Embiid shows dominance, Sixers and Jazz grab road wins

The Philadelphia 76ers continued dominating the series against the Washington Wizards with a 132-103 road win as they now go up 3-0 in the series.

Joel Embiid led the way with 36 points and eight rebounds while Tobias Harris had an all-around performance with 20 points, 13 boards and five assists. Seth Curry and Danny Green added 15 each with Ben Simmons logging 14 points and nine assists.

Embiid had his best scoring game in the series so far and he let the opponent know about it.

“It was one-on-one, and I wanted to take advantage of it. I guess that’s on them to make that choice. It’s hard to stop me if you send a double-team or not,” the big man said.

On the opposing side, Russell Westbrook put on a triple-double on display with 26 points, 12 rebounds, and ten assists while Bradley Beal scored 25 points.

Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz turned around the series against the Memphis Grizzlies and are now in the lead, 2-1, after a 121-11 road win.

Donovan Mitchell was the top scorer of the game with 29 points followed by Mike Conley with 27. Bojan Bogdanovic, Rudy Gobert, Jordan Clarkson scored 15 each with Gobert adding 14 rebounds.

For Memphis, Ja Moran scored 28 and Dillon Brooks 27 points. Jonas Valanciunas had ten points and 13 rebounds.

“It’s like sometimes you live long enough to become the villain, and I’ve become that for the Memphis Grizzlies now. Just got to take that in stride, continue to do what I do and have fun with that, have fun with the game,” Conley said.
