The Indiana Pacers are dismissing head coach Nate Bjokgren, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. They will be looking to hire a more experienced and well-known coach to replace him.

Bjorkgren is the third NBA coach to exit his team recently, after Terry Stots (Portland Trail Blazers) and Steve Clifford (Orlando Magic).

Indiana completed the season without making the playoffs for the first time since 2015, after being eliminated in the Play-In tournament. Bjokgren is reported to have lost control of the locker room and his players.

Bjorkgren joined the Pacers as head coach in October 2020. He was previously an assistant with the Toronto Raptors from 2018-2020 and during the team’s championship run.
