LeBron on big number of injuries: They didn’t listen, I knew exactly what would happen

The shortened off-season in the NBA, as well as the condensed schedule of the 2020-21 season itself, has been a point of talk throughout the year, especially when the injuries started piling up across the league.

Many blame short time to rest and the schedule for it, and LeBron James – who’s been well-known for taking care of his body – has been among them. He expressed his frustration with many players missing postseason games via social media.

“They all didn’t wanna listen to me about the start of the season. I knew exactly what would happen. I only wanted to protect the well being of the players which ultimately is the PRODUCT & BENEFIT of OUR GAME! These injuries isn’t just “PART OF THE GAME”. It’s the lack of PURE RIM REST rest before starting back up. 8, possibly 9 ALL-STARS has missed Playoff games (most in league history). This is the best time of the year for our league and fans but missing a ton of our fav players. It’s insane. If there’s one person that know about the body and how it works all year round it’s ME! I speak for the health of all our players and I hate to see this many injuries this time of the year. Sorry fans wish you guys were seeing all your fav guys right now,” LeBron wrote via Twitter.

The Lakers have had their fair share of troubles as both LeBron and Anthony Davis missed time this season and the latter was also forced to miss games in the playoffs as the Lakers were eventually eliminated in the first round. The LA squad had 71 days between winning the 2019-20 season and starting of the 2020-21 campaign.

However, they are far from being the only ones with injury issues, in fact, a big number of players had the same problem. Among the star names, T\today was revealed that the Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard has suffered an ACL injury while earlier, ten players had missed postseason games or played through injuries – Joel Embiid, James Harden and Kyrie Irving, Chris Paul, Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley, Jamal Murray and Jaylen Brown, Luka Doncic, Russell Westbrook.
