The New York Knicks will be pursuing Evan Fournier in the upcoming NBA free agency according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. Fournier is becoming an unrestricted free agent after finishing the season with the Boston Celtics.

The Knicks had been previously reported to have talks with the Orlando Magic about getting Fournier via trade, before the French swingman was moved to the Celtics. If Tom Thibodeau’s interest in the player remains, he may acquire him now.

Fournier is reported by the Inquirer to ask “around $18 million per season.” The 28-year-old player averaged 17.1 points, 3.4 assists and 3.0 rebounds in the past season.

In the Olympic Games opener, Fournier led France to a win over Team USA by scoring 28 points.
