Victor Oladipo will be returning to Miami Heat next season, as the two sides have agreed on a one-year deal, as it was reported by The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Per the report, the guard “will eye 2022 free agency to return to the market and sign a big contract once he’s fully healthy. Miami will retain Oladipo’s Bird Rights, allowing them to find the means to sign him again next offseason”.

Oladipo started the previous season with Houston Rockets before being traded to the Heat, though he played just four games for Miami before another injury that led to a right quadriceps tendon surgery in May 2021.

The 29-year-old guard was selected with the 2nd overall pick of the 2013 NBA draft and has played three seasons with the Orlando Magic, one with the Oklahoma City Thunder and three seasons with the Indiana Pacers before being traded to Houston for the 2020-21 campaign.
