Giannis dominates as Bucks beat Nets on opening night

The opening night in the NBA traditionally features interesting duels and so was the case this season as well. It started with the reigning champs Milwaukee Bucks taking down the Brooklyn Nets 127-104.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way with an impressive stat line of 32 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists, two blocks, one steal. Pat Connaughton and Khris Middleton followed with 20 points each while the latter also grabbed nine rebounds.

For Brooklyn, which is starting the season without Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant answered almost on par with Giannis, logging 32 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists. James Harden delivered 20 points, eight rebounds, eight assists while Patty Mills scored 21.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors came out on top against the LA Lakers 121-114. Steph Curry was the main reason for that as he put up a triple-double with 21 points, ten rebounds, ten assists.

Jordan Poole helped him out with 20 points while Nemanja Bjelica also had a strong performance with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

For the Lakers, LeBron James made a statement to start the campaign with 34 points (5-11 from deep), 11 rebounds, five assists while Anthony Davis was right behind with 33 points and 11 rebounds.
