Things heated up pretty fast on Monday night as the Denver Nuggets beat Miami Heat at home. Reigning MVP Nikola Jokic was ejected in the fourth quarter after he shoved Markieff Morris violently with his shoulder, resulting in an apparent neck injury for the Heat forward, following a a hard foul he received a few seconds earlier.

The incident has blown up causing many reactions in the NBA world, most notably by Markieff Morris’ brother, Marcus, who stated the following in a tweet post-game: “Waited till bro turned his back smh. NOTED.”

While both players got ejected for their altercation, Nikola Jokic’s brothers are not over that, as their brother could be facing suspension for his hard foul on Morris.

The brother even took it on Twitter to respond to Morris with a statement in a newly-created account. “You should leave this the way it is instead of publicly threatening our brother! Your brother made a dirty play first. If you want to make a step further be sure we will be waiting for you!”, state the Jokic brothers.

Mike Singer of Denver Post confirms the account is legitimate.

It’s not the first time Nikola Jokic’s brothers step up in an altercation – they were rowdy as their brother had a confrontation with Devin Booker in Game 4 of the Nuggets-Suns series last season.
