Nikola Jokic registers 60th career triple-double to surpass Larry Bird

Reigning Kia MVP Nikola Jokic registered his 60th career triple-double on Monday night in a loss to the Chicago Bulls to surpass Boston Celtics Hall of Famer Larry Bird in the eighth place of the all-time Top 10.

Jokic added 17 points, 12 rebounds and 15 assists on Monday and he is currently just two triple-doubles away from James Harden who is currently seventh with 62.

To put this record in perspective, Jokic’s most recent triple-double came in his 471st game. In comparison, Bird reached 59 triple-doubles after 897 games between 1979 and 1992.
