Ricky Rubio is done for the 2021-22 season. The Cleveland Cavaliers announced that the Spanish guard suffered a torn ACL in his left knee and will be forced to stay out for the rest of the current NBA campaign.

Rubio will also miss the 2022 EuroBasket.

Before his injury, Rubio was having one of the top seasons of his career. He was averaging a career-high-tying 13.1 points, along with 6.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds for the fifth-placed in the East Cavaliers.

Per Cavaliers:

Cavaliers guard Ricky Rubio left Tuesday night’s road game at New Orleans in the fourth quarter with a left knee injury and did not return to action. Further examination of the injury postgame and a MRI administered today at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health revealed a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). Rubio will miss the remainder of the 2021-22 season and his status will be updated as appropriate.
