The Orlando Magic have extended the contracts of President Jeff Weltman and GM John Hammond through the 2025-2026 seasons, according to ESPN.

Magic CEO Alex Martins engaged his front office in talks beginning with the end of last season, and recently finalized terms on the new deals. A formal announcement is expected later in the week.

Since the duo arrived in Orlando, the Magic made back-to-back playoff appearances for the first time in eight years and the owners have also been pleased with the rebuilding process which brought about great young talent including Franz Wagner, Jalen Suggs and Cole Anthony, as well as Wendell Carter Jr.

After consecutive years in the Eastern Conference playoffs, the Magic moved into a rebuild last season. Ownership has been pleased with the gathering of young first-round picks (Franz Wagner, Jalen Suggs, Cole Anthony), young players (Wendell Carter Jr.) and draft assets (six first-round picks over the next four years).
