Russell Westbrook booed by Lakers fans

Russell Westbrook had a horrid shooting night in the Los Angeles Lakers’ home game against New York Knicks Saturday and the crowd in Staples Center wasn’t really enjoying the “spectacle.”

With five minutes to play in the second period and the Lakers down 19, Westbrook took the screen from Anthony Davis and when the Knicks defense actually allowed him to take the mid-range jumper, his shot hit the backboard and went way off target.

It felt like deja-vu since Westbrook has been attempting a lot of shots this season that only find backboard. A long “oooh” was heard in the arena and fans expressed their frustration with a couple of boos.

Ultimately, the Lakers pulled off a big comeback from down 21 and got a 122-15 win in overtime behind LeBron James’ triple-double (29 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists) in his return to courts after a five-game absence. Westbrook finished the game with 1-10 from the field while dishing out six assists.
