Luka Doncic becomes the second Mav with multiple Player of the Month awards

Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic won Player of the Month in the Western Conference for the games played during February. It’s the second time that the Slovenian player wins the award after November 2019.

According to Mavs PR, Doncic becomes just the second player in the history of the club to be named Player of the Month more than once after the great Dirk Nowitzki who won it six times during his career.

Doncic averaged 34.7 points, 10.3 rebounds and 8.8 assists in February to lead the Mavericks through a 7 – 3 record. He had his best performances in a 112 – 105 win over the Los Angeles Clippers, when he scored a career-high 51 points while also notching nine rebounds plus six assists.

Some other highlights from Doncic during February include his performance (49 points, 15 rebounds, eight assists) in a 125 – 118 win over the New Orleans Pelicans and the triple-double with 15 assists (apart from 33 points and 13 rebounds) he had in a 107 – 98 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.
